Some people know their direction in life from a young age. Others, like Anysa, need some wandering before finding what’s right.
Born in Rome and raised there in an Italian/American family, art and sports were a big part of her early life - from dancing aged four through soccer aged 13, and a variety of other ventures along the way.
Her Italian background steered Anysa towards fashion, which she studied and worked in until itchy feet led her to explore the world with a backpack. This lasted about three years, funded by the occasional stint as a teacher back in Rome. Her travels exposed her to meditation, including a few 10 day silent meditation which she loved, and yoga which she practised at any opportunity in a variety of styles. Occasionally, Anysa filled in for teachers and that inspired her to explore this further. Anysa learned about Fierce Grace from a close friend, bizarrely in the middle of Asia, and immediately applied for the next teacher training course in London.
She loves the FG philosophy and her passion for music complements the classes featuring a soundtrack. Anysa really enjoys making playlists and sharing her latest music finds in her classes.
Strangely, Anysa’s mother was a teacher as well and she would always say teaching was not her thing at all... Funny how things turn out!
