"30 days and 14 hot yoga sessions later, and what's changed? Well, quite a lot actually. Friends tell me I look different, my boyfriend keeps staring at my abs, my clothes are looser and for the first time ever, I'm excited about going shopping for Christmas party clothes.

Not only do I feel lighter and more toned, but my energy levels are up, my posture has improved, my mind is calmer and I feel more grounded. Which to be honest, couldn't come at a better time - hello, December merry mania.

The craziest thing is that I actually didn't even change my diet very much! I was advised to eat more alkaline foods but the truth is that my regular diet was pretty healthy anyway so I just ate my usual: porridge for breakfast, salad or leftover dinner for lunch, yoghurt as a snack and then some sort of protein with vegetables for dinner with some dark chocolate for dessert. Oh and LOTS of water.

I'm generally not one for New Year's resolutions but this year, I'm going to do something for my health, my mind and soul - I'm going to keep up the yoga. Om-azing.
